Many cyclists are not currently on the road in the district. But the number of people for whom the bicycle is not only a means of sport and leisure, but also a means of daily transport, is nevertheless growing. And this also poses the problem for these people: who clears the cycle paths in winter??
This was particularly evident not only in the past two weeks of permafrost and frozen snow, but also on monday yesterday when rain caused black ice in some places.
In principle, everything is clear. But it is not always easy for cyclists to see who is responsible for winter road maintenance. In the district of bamberg, there are at least 38 actors who are involved in the road clearance and gritting service on cycle paths. Exceptions to the rule
